Short-Term vs Long-Term Memory
Different context. Different clocks.
Long-term memory retains useful knowledge for future work. Session state holds temporary context with configurable expiry. The two serve different purposes.
In Recall Racoon, persistent memories can remain available across restarts while session state follows its configured lifetime. An integration determines what is saved and retrieved.
- Use persistent memory for decisions and lessons.
- Use sessions for temporary workflow state.
- Set expiry to match the working context.
